Rena Sofer

 

Rena Sherel, born on December 2nd, 1968 was an American actress. She is most well-known for her roles on daytime television, guest appearances, and made-for-television films. Sofer was given an Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap show General Hospital. She played the role Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful between 2013 and 2022.




 Childhood and early life


 Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), who works as a psychologist, as well as Martin Sofer, who is a Orthodox Rabbi.




 In 1970, she relocated in 1970 to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was located in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Then, she went to the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is co-educational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue rabbi Temple Beth El. Sofer was a graduate of North Bergen High School and later went to Montclair State College.




 Career


 Television during the daytime


 Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer was a part of on General Hospital. The first time she appeared on the show was in 1993 as the manager of the band. Her first television role was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap show that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
