Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. She made her debut in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was a model when she was approached. The outcome proved to be a profitable career. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, after receiving notice from the casting directors of an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the role Doody was and is the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 film adaptation The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in the movie of his dreams. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She played Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody returned to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule performance as a character in the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She later guest starred in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). On 21 November 2018 she received the Almeria tierra de cine award and she received the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
