Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to an official contract to Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest participant in the 200 meter during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, defeating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
